What to visit near the camping?
Where are we located?
Camping Punta Batuda is located in the municipality of Porto do Son, in the Noia region, province of A Coruña. It is situated in an area on the Muros and Noia Estuary (Ría da Estrela) in the northern Rías Baixas, where diverse landscapes blend together, including mountains and beaches. It is an exceptional area for tourism, and its proximity to Santiago de Compostela makes it an ideal setting for spending a few days with us.
Camping Punta Batuda offers a privileged vantage point overlooking the Ría da Estrela estuary. It's located in an area that perfectly balances unspoiled nature with medieval history and seafood cuisine.

¿What to see?
Staying near Punta Batuda is to immerse yourself in the essence of the Rías Baixas, but with the special tranquility that only the northernmost estuary in the area offers. Here, the green of the pine trees meets the white sand, and the calm water invites you to completely disconnect.
Nature a beaches just a step away
From the very camp you´ll have access to natures beauty
- Beaches: easy access to the beaches of "Hornada (As Gaviotas)" and "Batuda (Pardiñas)", with calm and crystal clear waters, ideal for enjoying with the family or practicing gentle water sports.
- Coastal Walks: The path that runs along the coast from Punta Batuda offers some of the best sunsets in Galicia, with the silhouette of Monte Louro standing out against the horizon.
The many must see of la Ría da Estrela (Ría de Muros e Noia)
Just a few minutes away in car, the estuary divides in two must watch spots:
- Noia, the "Little Florence" of Galicia: Stroll through its medieval historic center and don't miss the Church of Santa Maria a Nova, which houses a unique collection of sepulchral slabs (ancient guild tombstones).
- Muros, a seafaring town: A designated Historic-Artistic Site. Its houses with stone arcades, where sailors once salted fish, are the perfect place to wander before dinner.
- Mount Louro and Xarás Lagoon: This sacred mountain stands at the mouth of the estuary. At its base, the lagoon and the wild Louro Beach form a pristine landscape of dunes and impressive biodiversity.
Sea taste
You can't leave without trying the local produce. The Muros and Noia estuary is famous for its cockles, considered some of the best in the world. Head to any tavern in the port of Muros or Noia to sample a corn empanada with cockles or some delicious Galician-style octopus.
A local tip: If you have time, climb up to the Mirador de San Roque viewpoint in Noia. From there you'll understand why this estuary is called "the one with the star"; the panoramic view of the entire mouth is simply spectacular.
